The idea to put into practice.

An invoice records an amount requested under terms. A payment records money received. A milestone records delivery progress. These facts are related but not interchangeable.

Before chasing payment, check recipient, due date, terms and disputes. Before concluding payment is settled, inspect its evidence. Stripe payment processing is planned, not available in the preview.

This is an operational review method, not accounting, tax or financial advice. Use your adviser and provider for obligations, reconciliation and eligibility.

A useful way to approach it

  1. Check the invoice against the agreement.
  2. Confirm recipient, currency and terms.
  3. Verify payment evidence.
  4. Assign overdue or disputed items.

Try it with fictional work.

Create a weekly review with invoice, due date, payment evidence, dispute and next action. Use fictional amounts and no bank details.

Before you move on
