Write a useful note

  1. Open the correct contact.

Check the name and company before typing.

  2. Use the note box at the drawer’s foot.

Write the information the team needs to continue. Use the mention control when a teammate needs context.

  3. Review and choose Post.

The note belongs to the contact’s internal record. Check Notes to find it afterward.

Use How they work for lasting context

How they work is useful for communication preferences, priorities and role context. Notes are useful for dated internal observations or handoffs. Keep either concise, factual and relevant to the working relationship.

Keep internal notes separate from external communication

The note box is for the team. Use Email or Schedule for communication with the person, and review recipients there. Avoid storing passwords, access codes or unrelated sensitive information in routine contact notes.

If a note seems missing

Confirm the contact identity, expand Notes and inspect the latest entries. A message draft in Inbox is not a posted contact note. If a completed post is still absent, contact support with the contact code and action taken, excluding the private note text initially.
