Leave an internal comment
Discuss a thread with the team while keeping the client-facing reply separate.

Use Internal note
- Open the conversation and choose Internal note.
Check the Only your team can see this audience indicator.
- Write the context the team needs.
Explain the decision, next step or question. Reference the relevant message or linked record.
- Mention the right teammate when needed.
Choose an eligible person from the mention picker so the note can become an attention item.
- Choose Add note.
Read the posted note in the conversation before leaving.

Continue a focused discussion
Reply to a note to keep the discussion attached to that point. Reactions acknowledge a note without adding another message. Where available, a note’s tools let you assign the conversation, create a task or share the note to a room.
Your own note can be removed using Delete your comment. Read the target carefully: deleting a note and moving the conversation to Trash are different actions.
Check the audience when sharing
A thread note follows the conversation’s access. Sharing it to a room is a separate action. The sharing flow can warn when some room participants cannot open the thread; review that notice before proceeding.
An internal note is not a message to the client. Switch back to Reply and check its recipient line when you are ready to respond externally.
Turn a decision into accountable work
Use Create task from the note when the next action needs an owner and date. Review the proposed task details and its source link rather than leaving an important commitment only in discussion.
