Choose which work to see

Open Tasks from the workspace navigation. The sidebar chooses the set of records; the toolbar chooses how to display that set. All tasks is the broad starting point. My tasks narrows the work to you, while Today concentrates on work needing attention now. Counts change with the records.

Shared views include Due this week, Overdue & at risk, Blocked, In review and Done. Needs you opens Nefer’s review drawer; it is a decision queue rather than another task layout. Favourites opens individual pinned tasks.

Add a layout

The layout can choose a sensible starting grouping and sort. Workload starts by assignee and effort; Timeline starts by project and due date. Recheck the toolbar after switching.

  1. Choose + View.

Open the View control beside the layout tabs. Search the view types if needed.

  2. Choose the layout for the question.

List compares properties row by row. Board organises cards into groups. Timeline compares work across dates. Calendar places tasks on a month grid. Workload compares people’s estimated work against capacity.

  3. Return using the layout tab.

Added layouts join the strip. A numbered more menu holds tabs that do not fit. Changing a layout does not create another task.

Adjust what the layout shows

Open Display and select, the toolbar’s three-dot menu. List offers density, shown properties, completed work, empty groups and nested or flat subtasks. Board adds card properties, covers and swimlanes. Timeline has bar labels and colour choices. Calendar can place tasks by due or start date.

Use a layout tab’s menu to rename or remove that tab. Removing a layout removes the presentation, not its tasks. A saved view is a separate way to keep a combination of filters, sorting, grouping and columns.

If a layout looks empty

  • Check the selected sidebar view and any applied filters.
  • For date layouts, navigate to the task’s date and check whether it is placed by start or due date.
  • Check Show done and collapsed groups in List.
  • Return to All tasks and List to separate a missing task from a presentation setting.
